This source code is provided for informational purposes only, to help developers learn and use the Java programming language.

(In src.zip) Java programming language source files for all classes that make up the Java core API (that is, sources files for the java.*, javax.* and some org.* packages, but not for com.sun.* packages). (In the include/ subdirectory) Header files that support native-code programming using the Java Native Interface, the JVM Tool Interface, and other functionality of the Javaplatform. (In the sample subdirectory) Samples, with source code, of programming for certain Java API's. These include examples that use Swing and other Java Foundation Classes, and the Java Platform Debugger Architecture. Java Development Kit for macOS (often described by Oracle as an “extended” package that expands upon the normal tools that could be find in Java SE Development Kit) hosts wide variety of tools for streamlined developing, debugging, testing, and monitoring of Java applications. Popularity of Java Development Kits present not only because of the absolutely astonishing set of tools, services and features that this package offers, but also because in late 2006 Oracle released this SDK under the GNU General Public License, making it free for everyone. Because of its strong development support, this SDK package represents the most popular and widely used Java SDK platform for creation of both enterprise projects and open-source projects of all sizes.

This is a major pain since two of my most used applications no longer work.Java Development Kit for Mac (also known as JDK) is a highly professional cross-platform SDK platform created and regularly supported by Oracle Corporation. With a goal of providing specific implementation of Java SE, Java EE and Java ME platforms developers from all around the world use it. No request to install Java 6, just a message stating

GeoGebra run fine under Java 7 on OSX 10.8.2 :D Though you probably need to install the JDK and not just the JRE, you'll find it there: So the installer probably detect that Java 7 JDK is already installed and just clean up the system. The Java preference app located in /Application/Utilities has been removed and there's no Java 6 installed on my machine. If you install the Oracle Java JDK (jdk-7u13-macosx-圆4.dmg) and try to run GeoGebra, the system will ask you to install Java 6 but in fact it does not install Java 6, it only fix some links in the system and remove the old Java files I tried downloading JRE-7u13 today with no luck. It anyone had a workaround I would like to hear about it. When Oracle put out a newer update, Apple again remotely blocked it from being used on OSX version 10.8.2 It looks like we will not be able to use GeoGebra on Apple if it uses Java.
